The hanging decoration is made of porcupine quills. This is in the dining area of our airport hotel in Johannesburg, South Africa. We had reservation problems, and charge misunderstandings at the desk. On the bright side, I was lucky enough to have a visit from Dirk Winterboer, a fellow model railroad enthusiast, while here. We stayed only one night before heading off to Maun, Botswana.
